| MONTICELLO: Roy Ervin Like, 63 died Friday, Dec. 20 at Tucson, Ariz, where he had spent the past four winters due to ill health. Funeral services were held Tuesday, afternoon, Dec. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the Goettsch funeral home with the Rev. John Siegle in charge. Interment was made at Oakwood cemetery.
Roy Like was born near Monticello, Oct. 13, 1900, the son of Alva and Mary Oeschger Like. He attended the Jones county rural schools and on Dec. 27, 1923, he was married to Lillian Ambuehl and the couple farmed near Monticello
Survivors included his wife and seven children who are, Mrs. Jack (Laura) Ehlts; Robert: Kenneth: all of Monticello; Mrs. Robert (Mary) Pearson of Lone Tree; Mrs. Ernest (Virginia) McElmeel, Monticello; Mrs. George (Edna) Rausch and Sally both of Tucson, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister.
