Luther (Luke) | Vandermark | 1961 | 23 Jun 1917 | Monticello Express (June 28, 1917) "The funeral of Luke Vandermark was held at the family home in Monticello, last Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A. P. Walton. He died at the state hospital for the insane, at Independence, on the 23rd inst., and his body was brought to Monticello, Monday evening. Interment was had at the East Monticello cemetery. The deceased was born in Ulster county, New York, in 1861, and was therefore 56 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, five children, four brothers and three sisters. His children are William of Storm Lake; Arthur and Clifford, of Pasadena, California; Leona and Loretta of this city." |
