Olin; born in Virginia in 1818; went to Ohio, then to Indiana, and, in 1850, to Iowa; entered 160 acres and now owns 240; made a11 the improvements on the place. In politics, Republican; in religion, liberal. Has been Trustee and School Director. Has a shop on his place and works at his trade of marble cutting. His wife was born in Ohio in 1818; came to Indiana and married in 1840; have four children—Elinora (now Mrs. Torrance, of Jones County), William Wallace, Melissa. Helen (now Mrs. Jean. of Ida Co.) and Edward M.
