C. DUESER, general merchant, corner Main and Garnavillo streets, Anamosa; was born in Germany March 8, 1844; he grew up to manhood there; he entered a store at 14 years of age. In 1867, he emigrated to America, and came to Iowa and located in Anamosa the same year, and engaged in the mercantile business; since then, he has continued in the business, and has built up a good trade. In May, 1874, he married Miss Matilda E. Bicke, a native of Germany; she came to America in 1852; they have two children—Freddie and Betty.
